Zombie Apocalypse Tag (I went there)

IT'S ALMOST HALLOWEEN!

Hi, okay, I'll calm down now.

I love me some Halloween.  Usually it involves a fun/terrible costume, maybe a party (a.k.a. candy overload), and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

In honour of the season, I am doing the Zombie Apocalypse tag as done by Luke Cutforth and Emma Blackery.  Enjoy!

Which three YouTubers would you have in your team?
No doubt in my mind, I want Emma Blackery.  If we're gonna die, at least we'll go out with sass.  Also, I'm 99% sure she could survive.

Then I think I'd have Louis (funforlouis) because, again, he's gonna live.  For sure.

My third YouTuber choice would be Hazel (ChewingSand) because she's gonna survive, she did a film on zombies!  She knows how they work!  Basically Hazel would be our main strategist.

The object immediately to your left is your only weapon. How fucked are you?
I have a ceramic plate... so I'm kind of dead.

If you were a zombie, who would you want to bite?
Anyone who thinks ebola jokes are funny, or thinks rape is okay, or makes fun of others for things they can't control like mental illness, appearance, etc.  If you are a terrible person, you deserve it.

What would your survival plan be?
Stock up on food and water and barricade myself in my apartment.  I have a balcony so we've got a great point to target any potential zombies on the ground.

What would you do if your parents became zombies?
Pretend I didn't know and carry on fighting.  I couldn't off my parents even if they were zombies.

Do you want the zombie apocalypse to happen?
NO!  I'm 99% sure I'd be one of the first to die, so I really want to avoid this being a situation I have to deal with.

I tag everyone who reads this to do it before Halloween.  Have a SPOOKY DAY!

xoxo

Autumn Favourites

Hey everyone!

It has been a very long time since I did a favourites post, but I wanted to do one for this season because the things I love have changed so much from August/Summer.  Some are beauty, some are food, and some are just random.  Let's just hope right in shall we?

First up, I adore this powder from Physician's Formula.  This is the Nude Wear pressed powder, and the product is as amazing as the packaging.  I have really moved away from foundation this month for some reason.  This gives a little bit of coverage, but mostly does just as it says and give you a "your skin but better" look. The only thing that does annoy me is that the quads don't wear down at the same time for some reason, so I've hit pan on two, but barely dented the other two!

Next up is the Annabelle Smoothliner.  I rave about this a lot, and recently went back to it after not using it for a few months.  I'm constantly reminded why I love this product so much, it is creamy and pigmented and has excellent lasting power.  I have been smudging this out a little bit, rather than having a harsh liner in the last few weeks. It gives a great effect.

The L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara has been on my loves list for ages, and I don't think I've blogged about it yet.  This does an amazing job on my lashes, they look so much longer and fuller, and give that doll-like effect I'm always looking for to make my eyes look wider and more awake.

A palette you saw in my last Haul (insert link) that I have been obsessed with ever since purchase is the Maybelline The Nudes palette.  I know some people claim this is a 'dupe' for a Naked palette, and it is SO not.  But, for those of us who can't afford the $60+ this comes in at a much better price range for a similar product.  The pigmentation can be easily built up, and the colours are fabulous.  I love pairing the two gold shades together, and I find it fabulous that there are mattes and shimmers.  It's so difficult to find nice mattes in drugstore palettes, and I can even use them to fill in my brows.

Left to Right:
1) Maybelline Super Stay 10 Hour Stain Gloss in 120 Berry Heavenly
2) Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in 01
3) Maybelline ColourSensational Lipstick in 640 Ruby Star
4) Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 400 Big Bang
5) Wet n Wild Lipstick in 522A Dark Wine
6) Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in 010 Raspberry
7) Maybelline ColourSensational Lipstick in 410 Blissful Berry
8) Maybelline Super Stay 10 Hour Stain Gloss in 140 Ruby Indulgence
I've also been really into darker lips lately.  Reds, Wine shades, Berry tones.  I have a few lipsticks that I am utterly obsessed with (even if I don't get to wear them as often as I would like!)  Obviously check the huge rundown caption for shades and brands!

Shades: 60 life's a cherry and 80 autumn peach
My final beauty products are the essence blushers.  I cannot express how amazing these are, and for only $3 each!  They are incredibly pigmented, to the point where I use a stippling brush to make sure I don't accidentally over-do it when I'm putting it on my cheeks.  The powder isn't grainy in any way, and it's not overly shimmery either.  These are the perfect blushes, I highly recommend them.

In the realm of not beauty, I have a candle that I've been burning nearly every day.  It's the Vanilla Chai candle from Bath and Body Works, and it smells like cakes, and tea, and fall, and happiness.  I dunno.  I just love it, and it scents the entire room in no time flat!

Also from Bath & Body Works, I've been using the Amber Blush fine fragrance mist again in the last few weeks almost every day.  I bought the last year and used it all the time in the autumn and winter.  It's a very autumnal scent, and very strong.  One spray is definitely enough!

Other Stuff!

For food and drink, I've been more than a little obsessed with tea.  Fall always makes me crave tea, and lattes, and cappuccinos.  My tea cupboard is out of hand, I have 12 different kinds!  It's at the point where I even brought a kettle with me to the study lounge so I could have tea!

I've got a couple life favourites this month.  First is flannel sheets.  Oh.  My.  God.  My bed is a nest I never want to leave.  When I woke up the morning after sleeping in them for the first time, I honestly stayed in bed until noon (I was also sick, to be fair).  My bed in general is just a favourite :P

The very final favourite I have is another life favourite, and that is my new job!  I recently got hired as a piano teacher for children ages 6 to 12, and I adore every second of it.  I only go twice per week, so it doesn't interfere too much with school (or social life, which doesn't really exist haha), but I find it so rewarding.  I've loved music forever, and I've played piano since I was 6, so this is something where I find I fit into the position really well.

I think that's all for my September favourites, comment below with the things you loved this past month!

xoxo
