Hello everyone!

Yes, I went there.

I'm a Jays fan, have been for ages.  This summer I'm lucky enough to be going to several games (I think I'm at 5?) and I thought I would do a fun makeup tutorial that would be perfect to wear to a game!

The Last 8 Weeks

Hello everyone!

Awhile ago I posted a life update where I filled you in on what was happening in my life.  In the 8 weeks that have passed, so much has happened that I want to share with you.  This might be a long post, so settle in!  But I promise it will be worth it.

I spent a lot of time in this hole, wearing this mosquito net.
Most of my time over the last 6 weeks has been spent in the field.  I have probably mentioned this before, but I am a History/Archaeology major, and part of my degree requirement is participation in a field course where I actually perform archaeological excavation.  I was so nervous, especially since I didn't know anyone going on the trip initially.

My favourite weirdos <3
After 6 weeks of living with these people, I can honestly say I've made some amazing friends.  I was so lucky to have such an awesome group of kind, wonderful people surrounding me.  So if any of them are reading this, shoutout to you guys because you were all amazing individuals.  I'll miss driving home every weekend in the Loser Cruiser with you all.

I think the best part of being in the course was the learning experiences.  I learned a lot about archaeology, but I also learned a lot about myself.  I learned how exciting this field is, and just how passionate I actually am about the subject.  It was the perfect spark to reignite my love of the subject as I head into my final and most challenging year.

We stayed in cabins like we were at summer camp, and some nights we froze, but the sun rising over the lake made the cold 6:30am wakeups well worth it.  Despite cold toes, sand EVERYWHERE, and a pinched nerve in my hip, I had the most amazing time of my life.

First day on the new job.  Do I look nervous?! (I was.)
Now, the last 6 weeks haven't actually just involved field work.  I actually got a job, and in my field no less.  It was a hard decision.  My whole summer plan was flipped upside down.  I am moving back in with my parents for it, erasing the plan you heard last time (I was going to live with my boyfriend and his family).  It was a hard 'decision' but in the end there was no choice.  It is my dream job, one I've applied for every year for FOUR years.  It's an amazing opportunity and something I'm really passionate about.  I'm so excited to see where it takes me this summer.

Leaping straight into work as soon as I was home was hard, I won't lie.  I haven't had any down time, and my life has been so busy and so go-go-go that I haven't had time to blog.  Yet.  As I write this, I'm planning out July and working on posts to get back into things, so please don't give up on me, I'm coming back!

I hope you are all having wonderful beginnings to your summers.  I will see you soon with a new post!

Spring/Summer Fashion Haul

Hello everyone!

I just got back from my course and I'm so excited to get back into the swing of blogging.  5 weeks in the forest was a wonderful adventure (I'm going to post about it later) but I'm ready to get back into regular life and start my new job.

Regular blogging/vlogging will commence next week, but for now I still have a few pre-recorded videos kicking around.  Today I posted a spring/summer fashion haul!

Love you all, thanks for your patience over the last few weeks <3
